Technical inspection
When to schedule a vehicle technical inspection
The safest date is the one shown in the vehicle documents or public vehicle data. VehKeep helps record that date and set reminders before it expires.
The main deadline
Record the inspection validity date, mileage at inspection, result and inspection station name in VehKeep.
- For a typical passenger car in Poland, the cycle is often 3 years after first registration, then 2 years, then annually. Exceptions exist, including gas-powered vehicles or vehicles used in special ways.
- Do not guess the deadline from the car age if documents are available. The concrete date for your vehicle is confirmed by documents and official records.
Useful reminders
Set at least two reminders: about 30 days before the deadline and a few days before expiry. Add mileage notes if the car is used daily.
- An earlier reminder gives time to repair issues before the inspection.
- After a positive inspection, record the new validity date and cost.
What to record after inspection
Add the result, next due date, mileage, cost and any notes from the diagnostician.
- Attach documents if you received a defect list or additional certificate.
- If inspection followed a repair, connect it with the related service record.
